Captain Todd Coonce

Captain Todd Coonce is a lifelong resident of Hubbard, Ohio, and graduated from Hubbard High School. Captain Coonce is a graduate of the Ohio Peace Academy, and an Ohio Chartered Fire Training Program.

A law enforcement career that speaks for itself, Captain Coonce was hired as a part-time police officer for Hubbard in 1981. In 1988, Captain Coonce was hired as a full-time police officer for Hubbard Township Police Department. 1992, Captain Coonce was assigned to the Trumbull County Drug Task Force as a field agent. Recognized for his accomplishments, in 1994, Captain Coonce was appointed the Director of the Trumbull County Drug Task Force.

In January 1995, Captain Coonce was hired as the Chief of Police for the Hubbard Township Police Department. In 2009, Captain Coonce was honored by the Hubbard High School Alumni Association for his outstanding contributions and professional services.

In December 2020, Captain Coonce retired after 26 years of dedicated service. Captain Coonce is recognized as the longest-standing Chief of Police in Hubbard.

In 2021, Captain Coonce joined the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office as a Civil Deputy. Captain Coonce was promoted to the rank of Captain of Operations at the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office for Sheriff Paul Monroe and oversees the Support Staff.
